Cabarete, best known to Windsurfers and Kitesurfers for its good trade winds during most of the year and Surfers for the good waves during the autumn, winter and spring months, is growing rapidly in numbers and new Hotel & Condo Complexes are sprouting up all over the show. There is a wide choice of Accommodation available here - from standard hotel rooms to luxury villas so you won't have a problem finding the right place for your stay!

The closest airport to Cabarete is Puerto Plata (POP) as it is only 25 minutes away. You might be able to find cheaper flights to Santo Domingo (2.5 hours away by taxi, $150 each way or 4.5 hours away, $10 each way by modern air conditioned buses via Caribe Tours or Metro Tours), or Santiago (1.5 hours away, $80 each way by taxi, $5 each way by buses).

Keep in mind that if you fly into Santo Domingo or Santiago, you need to take a taxi to the bus station. The bus will drop you off in Sosua or Cabarete. If in Sosua You'll have to get another taxi to Cabarete. We usually recommend that people get a taxi to Cabarete and take the bus back if they're on a budget. We do NOT recommend flying into Punta Cana airport as it's a 6-7 hour drive to Cabarete!
